RE: How did you get into Gundam?

How I get into Gundam is a very good question. It's simple, I started to like Gundam since I was a child. I really like giant robot with beam saber. My early modal kit was Gundam F91 in 1/144 and 1/60 modal kit action figures. However, I carelessly broke my 1/60 Gundam F91. I still have it in bad shape. The only 1/60 modal kit action figure is Strike Gundam, and it's a good shape. The early anime I watch is Gundam F91 movie and Gundam UC 0083 Stardust Memory series.

Watching and collecting Gundam makes me feel like I want to make my own series of Gundam which is the Shaolin Samurai. Also, crossover my gundam series to meet the seconday Gundam worlds including G Gundam, Wing, X, Turn A, Seed, 00. Most of the series are serious while I draw for comedy.

Panda School Day render

All of the scenes are rendered. However, some of the scene needs more work, and the sound needs to sync correctly.

Gundam 0084

I do not made this. I scan Gundam UC 0084 to show everyone that this story is from a magazine known as Unione. Unione is similar to Shonen Jump except it contain four manga page in one page (4 manga = 1 magazine page). It also had information about anime and manga from Japan, and some franchise from United State.

Gundam 0084 by Max in 2005. This story take place between Gundam Stardust Memory in Universal Century 0083 and Ecole du Ciel in U.C.0085. The Federation are only practice in simulation. One pilot is simulation with GM Command against Dom and Three Zaku 2(s). After he defeated them, his next opponent is RX-78BD-2 Blue Destiny Unit 2 which is Zeon's captured mobile suit. However, Blue Destiny Unit 2 is RX-79BD-2, even if it had Gundam head. Is the pilot going to beat this Gundam? No one know because it ended already.

Story is too short because of single chapter

Artist Max did made good tone for shade and facial expression.

Tutorial:
1. Scan a drawing into the computer
2. Open Adobe Photoshop
3. Turn the sketch background into a layer, and set the opacity to 25 percent or less.
4. Add a new layer under the sketch layer.
5. Use a brush tool with black color for silhouette.
6. Add new layers and paint with different colors between the sketch layer and black layer.
7. Use erase tool for colors and black silhouette layers.

Cat Girls!

Here are the two cat girls that I drew it for my storyline.

Trini/Thuy as my character

Since I heard Thuy Trang who play as Trini Kwan from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers died in car accident in 2001, I drew her as one of White Soul and my original(or not) characters. She is half person and half saber tooth tiger. She is similar to my two original characters Felicia and Savage which they are the half cat.

FANS PROJECT: Assault Fleet demo reel

I uploaded the video of the Assault Fleet from SD Dynasty Warriors Gundam (BB Senshi Sangokuden). It's transform from default ship to separate vehicle including Jet Stream and Jet Ski.

9 contest

Yesterday, I submitted my artwork for 9 contest that movie was on air nine days ago. I painted on my sketch with photoshop, and it's look darker as my previous artworks because my villain characters were in gray scale color. It's the combination of raven's body, shark's head, spider's legs, and cat's claws.

Animatd 1 in Flash

My first animating with my characters in flash.

First, I made limbs and facial expression with Adobe Illustrator. Then, I animated characters (all limbs together) with either Anime Studio or Adoboe Flash. I tried flash first.
I made a simple animating like caramel dancing. It's only five frames to dance. Character who is dancing is Sarah Texas.

Main reason is that I'm going make animated series on internet, and it's all about her. It's might be prequel to my main story "Shaolin Samurai." Also known as Shaolin Samurai: Living with Asian. Like Living Life with Derek. ^_^

I'm very sorry that either the video file except flash can't make her dance. Therefore, you can see her dancing in my deciantart.com by clicking on the title.

Blade

Today is 13th except it's Thursday, and I'm not a horror fan. However, I designed for my new mobile suit with what American like than Japanese. Here Blade!

Finish art with manga studio and photoshop

Blade is the combination machine with Jason's hockey mask, Ash's chainsaw (not showing yet), and Marvel's Punisher's chest mark. Its pilot's name is Jason the 13th, not Jason Voorhees. He is not the 13th Jason, it's just a name he made up because he forget his real name after he lost his parents when he became 13th. I haven't finish Jason the 13th yet, so I'll submit him next time.

Bad for Tokyopop, Good for Deviant art

I deleted my account on Tokyopop by mistake. Anyway, I've received over hundred views in Deviant art last week, and I'll submit a new artwork for deviant art and my blog tomorrow.

Tokyopop and personal style

I've joined Tokyopop.com for the same reason as my blog and deviantart. My account name is chenchanproduction. I've also decided to spend my time of drawing the fan art to find my own style. Because I was told to find my personal art style. My original series doesn't seem well because no one know mine well. Therefore, I'll draw the series that everyone know like original Gundam and Transformers. I can still submit my artwork of my own series anyway.

Here is the next display collection of this month. I only show the original Gundam modals because I bought a new version of Musha Gundam in Anime Expo convention.

Variety of RX -78 Gundam include Shin Musha Gundam and Liu Bei.

Musha Gundam on a base is like a samurai display in museum. I always wanted to own Musha Gundam since I played Dynasty Warriors Gundam.

Happy 25th anniversary to the Transformers, and Happy 30th anniversary to the Gundam.
